Reshma Gajjar is a first generation American of South Asian descent, raised in Northern California and moved to Los Angeles on a scholarship to the EDGE Performing Arts Center.
She became a citizen of the world while touring with MADONNA and RICKY MARTIN pioneering a career in commercial dance for South Asian youth.
She shared stages with SELENA GOMEZ, DUA LIPA, WILL SMITH, LOGIC, and HOZIER. She has been in music videos for KATY PERRY, YEARS AND YEARS, BECK, MEGHAN TRAINER, KELLY CLARKSON and BLACK EYED PEAS. Some of her television credits include CRAZY EX GIRLFRIEND, HIT THE FLOOR, EUPHORIA, TRANSPARENT, THE GOOD PLACE, PARKS AND RECREATION, OUTSOURCED, THE NEW GIRL, THE OSCARS, EMMYS, AMAS, VMAS, GRAMMYS and GOLDEN GLOBES. She is notably known for being the “Ingénue in the yellow dress” stuck in traffic who opens Oscar winning film, LA LA LAND.
She has worked with directors , SPIKE JONZE, DAMIEN CHAZELLE, KATHRYN BIGELOW, ROMAN COPPOLA, NATASHA LYONNE, EDGAR WRIGHT, B AKERLUND, choreographers RYAN HEFFINGTON, MANDY MOORE, MICHEAL ROONEY and KAT BURNS.
Commercial and print work include KENZO, LEVIS, DIESEL, REDKEN, ADIDAS, JEROME ROUSSEAU, TEEKI, MAISON THE FAUX, SK-II, TOYOTA, MARSHALLS, and TARGET.
Reshma prioritizes maintaining a balance with one foot in the commercial industry and the other in the art world. She is an artist that values being human first and lets that lead her performance.
When she is not performing, she is getting involved with her local community, serving as a mentor and seeking the wisdom and fashion of the elderly.
