BIO: Ryan Ramirez is from Northern California, has been dancing since the age of four, and has advanced training in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary and Broadway style dance. Before bursting onto the scene on “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 8, Ryan gained notoriety and experience from assisting top choreographer Mia Michaels on multiple seasons of SYTYCD U.S. and Canada as well as workshops and conventions across the world. Since becoming a finalist on SYTYCD herself, she has gone on to perform in music videos, industrials, and on many large award shows including The Emmys, Video Music Awards, American Music Awards and the Kids’ Choice Awards. On top of this, Ryan has an illustrious television resume performing on television shows such as “Dancing With The Stars”, “Glee”, “House”, “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson”, “American Idol”, “The Voice”, “America’s Got Talent” and “The X-Factor” to name a few. She has also performed with big names such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, The Wanted, Pitbull, 50 cent, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Cher. Her outstanding work ethic and versatility has continued to make her one of the most sought-after female dancers in Los Angeles. Ryan has a true passion for spreading her love for the art of dance and has taught for many studios, intensives and conventions around the country. She discovered her passion for teaching and choreography at a very young age, choreographing her own solos at the age of twelve and getting hired to choreograph for other studios and dancers at the age of fourteen. She firmly believes that being a great dancer and being a great teacher are two separate things and strives to always pass down the knowledge that she has gathered from her world-renowned mentors and esteemed teachers to her students. She prides herself on being able to teach proper technique as well as innovative, challenging, and versatile choreography.
