When you work with Jennifer Hamilton expect a trusted industry professional with over 50 films under her belt including choreographing The Runaways, Easy-A, Yogi Bear, Zookeeper, and The Layover directed by William H. Macy. Her feature film experience as both a choreographer and associate or assistant choreographer began as early as Charlie’s Angels with Drew Barrymore; the Austin Powers trilogy with Mike Myers; and Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie along with films such as No Strings Attached, FAME, Rush Hour 3, Spiderman 3, Little Miss Sunshine (one of her favorite jobs), Meet the Fockers, and 13 Going on 30 among the countless others.
Jennifer’s television credits include Kidding, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Dancing with the Stars, CSI, Bones, Trophy Wife, and Blunt Talk with Patrick Stewart. Jennifer choreographed the widely noticed NBC musical dance promo for the 2012 Super Bowl featuring the casts of 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, SNL, and the Office. Her commercial and video credits include Apple Music, Lexus, Suntrust, Pepsi, Skippy, Carl’s Jr., Ebay, Travelzoo, Gap, Old Navy, Colgate with Luke Wilson, Lenny Kravitz, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Her work as a creative director and choreographer for live shows and groups include the all-girl rock group The Darling Stilettos (created by former Guns ‘n’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum) and the rock n roll girl dance group/show Roxy Bazaar. Jennifer has also worked as an associate choreographer on various Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
Jennifer has developed strong and trusted work relationships with actors, such as Leslie Bibb, Dakota Fanning, Elle Fanning, Kate Bosworth, Tobey Maguire, and Elizabeth Berkley training them on multiple projects andon-going dance instruction and body/strength conditioning. Whether on camera or off, as a movement/dance coach, Jennifer’s extensive knowledge in Pilates and cardio-based workouts, along with her expertise and passion for dance, has helped talent of all levels of ability and body types to move effortlessly and with confidence.
A Southern California native, Jennifer has been choreographing and teaching for over 20 years, and dancing since she was 4 years old. She is technically trained in jazz, ballet, modern, and other styles of dance. She is a jack of all trades and a master of all styles. Training in Los Angeles has given her the opportunity to study with some of the most recognized teachers and working choreographers throughout the city. She continues to teach master classes nationwide and is a commercial dance Professor at PACE University’s Los Angeles campus. Jennifer has also been an educator on numerous dance conventions throughout the US and internationally. She has taught professional adults at EDGE Performing Arts Center as one of their resident faculty members. Outside of her continuous work as a choreographer and dancer, Jennifer owns and operates The Floor Dance Academy, a dance studio for kids in the heart of Los Angeles. She resides in LA with her husband, two young sons and a big German Shepard named Paddington.
