Ashley Robicheaux

Ashley

Ashley "Robi" Robicheaux is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus in choreography and dance whose experience spans concert dance, immersive theater, and commercial worlds.   From a young age, she began developing her choreography skills by making up dances to Brittney Spears, N'sync, and The Backstreet Boys in her living room with the neighborhood kids (often times forcing their entire families to come be an audience for their performances). Prior to moving to Los Angeles, she spent 7 years in NYC, where she earned her B.F.A in Dance from NYU, and performed in numerous off- broadway shows, including  PUNCHDRUNK's "Sleep No More".  She later continued her dance training at Springboard Danse Montreal, and directed and choreographed an evening-length immersive dance theater show, called ‘Mattress”. As a choreographer, some of the artists she has worked with include Maggie Rogers, Lennon Stella, Billie Eilish (assistant to Matty Peacock), and FKA Twigs. Most recently she was the assistant choreographer to Andrew Winghart for the MUSE tour.  Her music video and film choreography has been featured on online platforms such as Nowness, NPR, Bullet Magazine, Nylon, Vogue, Galore, I-D Magazine, and many others.

In 2018, she made her debut as an actress in "Daddy", a feature film by Jonah Greenstien, which had its world premiere at Newfest's LGBTQ festival in Chelsea, and released her first music EP as “R O B I”. She is happy to be working with BLOC Talent agency as both a performer and choreographer.
