“Blessed to be a blessing” is the driving force behind renowned entrepreneur, actor/performer, creative director/choreographer & fitness enthusiast Jimmy R.O. Smith. Known for his unique style and artistic creativity, several of Jimmy’s performances can be viewed in Academy Award winning films, “Dreamgirls’, “Stomp the Yard”, “Bolden”, and “Burlesque.” From being a “Chuck E Cheese kid”, to captivating audiences and grabbing the attention of today’s top directors,
choreographers and artists, JROS went on to share the stage and screen with top international performers including The Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Fergie, Ciara, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Melissa McCartney, Jennifer Hudson, Kirk Franklin, 50 Cent, Cher and P. Diddy, among several others. The marching band where he played the Trombone and was Head Drum Major only elevated his skill level.During this time, Jimmy R. O. Smith also received a BS degree in Kinesiology and Music Education from Prairie View A & M University. Supported by his athletic training and collegiate stomping expertise, JROS began maximizing on professional opportunities with the NBA’s Houston Rockets and WNBA’s Houston Comets dance crew.

A native of Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas, JROS propelled his artistry to the next level and cemented his place as a supreme force in the entertainment industry. Jimmy’s vision, creative expressions and seamless professionalism attracted A-List stars such as Dakota Fanning to seek his creative expertise and collaboration. Through his Artist Development & Performance Coaching Co., “The Smith House” Jimmy has helped to develop some of today’s top breakout talent as Cody Simpson, Doja Cat, Polo G & Chloe & Halle to name a few. Building on the momentum of his many successes, JROS creatively directed and choreographed special performances on Dancing with the Stars “Macy’s Stars of Dance” with the USC “Trojan Marching Band”, as well as contributing choreography for such main stage performances as international Pop icon Jennifer Lopez World Music Awards
performance, triple threat legend Donny Osmond, and Super Bowl XLV half time for Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Slash.

Embellishing his dynamic and illustrious career, JROS received credits as a guest actor in television shows like Gilmore Girls, and Spike’s “The Playbook”, while his fitness, stepping and marching band style choreography was featured on reality and network television shows such as VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club, MTV, ABC’s Dance Machine, and Nick Jr’s “The Fresh Beat Band.” Harnessing his power flow, JROS is revered for his exceptional dexterity with Mo-Cap work on promotional videos for the Walt Disney film “G-Force”, and FOX’s competition reality show “Alter Ego”, as well as for countless commercials for multi-national brands and corporations including Target, AT&T, ESPN, Coca-Cola, Subway, Disney, Citibank and most recently Beachbody Fitness digital training programs.

As a co-founder of StageKeep.com, a dance/cheer/marching band digital app, and a philanthropist, JROS regularly engages in community building and works together with non-profit organizations like Kids Kicking Cancer, Generosity Water, Unlikely Heroes, and Engage The Vision. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA, Jimmy R.O. Smith continues to expand his creative horizon by developing and producing motion pictures and innovative visual entertainment globally as he crests the pinnacle of his artistic journey.
