Alexander Chung


STYLE: Hip Hop

BIO: Alexander Chung was raised in Edmonton, Canada by a family that fostered a deep love of dance and creative expression. He has choreographed for esteemed performers such as Backstreet Boys, Becky G, Calvin Harris, Sean Kingston, and Jesse McCartney; consecutive episodes of Disney’s “Raven’s Home: Season 3”; corporate brands Panda Express, Danceon, Bose, Honda, and Dark Horse Wine; and touring productions NBC’s World of Dance, America’s Best Dance Crew, Hip-Hop Saved My Life, and Unity in Diversity. As an owner and lead choreographer/instructor for the popular Kore Dance Studios in Edmonton, Alexander has refined both his unique choreographic voice and instruction techniques that speak compellingly to expert level and beginning level students alike. Under Alexander’s guidance, Kore Dance Studio’s dancers and crews have assembled an impressive array of competition titles in Canada and internationally. NXG Company, founded and choreographed by Alexander, boasts top finishes in international competitions including: 1st Place Champions at World of Dance Las Vegas (2018), 1st Place Champions at World of Dance Los Angeles (2015); 1st Place Champions at Canadian Hip Hop Championships in Montreal (2014); 1st Place Champions at World of Dance Hawaii (2013); Undefeated Champions at Represent Dance Competition (2013, 2014, 2015); and a Top 10 finish at the Hip Hop International World Championships in Las Vegas (2014). In recent years, Alexander has travelled the world working as a Velocity Dance Convention Faculty member, choreographer, dance instructor, and competition judge at prestigious conventions and workshops. He has taught master classes in over 30 countries and across North America and finds a home at Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, from where he will continue to raise the bar for hip-hop performers.
