CLASS DESCRIPTION: With the teachers I had growing up, they definitely kept the Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire movement alive with a dash of sassy, an added sharp hitting Janet Jackson line, in addition to a Brittney Spears vibe. I am a sucker for clean lines, and electric energy through those finger tips, but when it’s called for I love some hard hitting confident attitudes. In those moments, I get to see why you love to dance, and the true dancer within you. I am trained in many styles, even flamenco, so I am beyond excited to work with each and every one of you, to teach you classroom technique with a little extra spice from the commercial world. I was just like all of you dancing here, and now I am living out my dream as a professional dancer. You never know who is in the audience, so always perform like someone is watching. BIO: Ashley Cinq-Mars grew up and began dancing at age 3 in Norco, California. She trained at Just Plain Dancing and Company in Corona, California. Although offered a Scholarship at the University of Arizona, Department of Dance, she decided to make the move to Los Angeles to continue her dance education, because of her love of the art.

Since landing in Los Angeles, she has choreographed and appeared on the hit TV shows, Hit the Floor, Modern Family, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Voice, X-Factor, Good Morning America, Dallas Cowboy’s Thanksgiving Halftime Show with Selena Gomez, Nickelodeon’s Icarly, Victorious, and Disney’s Choo Choo Soul. She has appeared on the Big Screen in Harold and Kumar 3, and Cheer Camp.

Ashley has performed with many of the top artist, such as, Pharrell, Selena Gomez, Meghan Trainor, No Doubt, Will I Am, J.LO, Fergie, Nelly Furtado, and All American Rejects. She toured live with Selena Gomez’s Stars Dance World Tour, American’s Got Talent with Jerry Springer, and can be seen on TV live with Dick Clark’s Rock'n New Years’s Eve, American Music Awards, iHeart Music Festival, iHeart Music Awards, Jingle Balls, and in music videos with Fergie, Nelly Furtado, All American Rejects and Nickelodeon Stars. Ashley can also be seen in the ads for Apple, Toyota Cars, Black and Decker, and Just Dance 3, in addition to the 2014 holiday commercials for UGG.

Ashley is extremely blessed that by following her passion for dance, she has been able to work at a job she absolutely loves and looks forward to whatever exciting opportunities lay ahead.
