CLASS DESCRIPTION:10-35 minute warmup/center/across the floor combo (contemporary, lyrical, jazz, technique) Barre, center, across the floor (ballet) FLX warm up then either ballet routine, yoga routine, pilates routine, or specific area of stretch and conditioning.
BIO: Bridget Whitman is a native to Arizona who spent much of 2014 competing on the hit TV Show, So You Think You Can Dance where she earned a Top 10 spot for the popular "Season 11." Throughout the competition she worked with outstanding choreographers such as: Mandy Moore, Sonya Tayeh, Travis Wall, Pasha Kovalev, and Warren Carlyle. Honoring her Top 10 finish on SYTYCD, Bridget joined the annual tour that historically follows performing in 73 different cities across North America. Bridget joined another tour in the Spring of 2015 with Rasta Thomas’s Bad Boy’s of Dance performing in China as a lead dancer in the hit show, Best of Rock The Ballet. She continued with the company in 2016 performing in 47 cities in France, Germany and Switzerland. While living in New York she work on multiple industrial projects in and continues to teach on Artistic Dance Exchange dance convention. Bridget was awarded the Director’s Scholarship to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She accepted and joined their dance program (2012-2016). Bridget has studied under many notable dancers/choreographers while attending UArts and graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance. She trained at Tempe Dance Academy. There she was disciplined in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, acrobatics, tap, hip hop, and Latin/Standard Ballroom. Bridget is a Certified FLX Trainer with the ability of implementing an effective flexibility and strength training program in a class setting. Bridget recently moved to Los Angeles and she continues to broaden her knowledge and training of dance by staying in touch with her teachers at UArts and taking class by the industry’s finest.
