Jennifer

Jennifer Mealani Jones, a native of Ellicott City, Maryland has a background in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, and Pointe. She began her formal dance training at the Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland under the tutelage of Olga Tozyiakova and Kevin Malone as well as Spotlight Studio of Dance under Director Wyndee McGovern, with mentoring by Troy Brown. Her summer and master class intensive programs as a teen included Peridance, Alvin Ailey, the Rock School of Dance, and Alonzo King LINES ballet. She was a Presidential Scholarship recipient at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she received a BFA in Dance Performance. While at UARTs she trained and performed with top instructors Zane Booker, Donald Lunsford, Wayne St. David, Molly Misgalla, Brian Sanders and Michael Sheridan. She has also trained and performed with renowned Philadelphia artists Tommie Waheed-Evans, Gunnar Montana, and Roni Koresh. Jennifer worked for two years performing with the 76ers DREAMTEAM dancers, trained with NYCDA’s Scott Jovovich performing in Bright Lights Shining Stars honoring the legendary Roberta Flack, and in 2013 was featured on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance Season 10. Upon graduating at the University of the Arts, Jennifer joined Philadelphia’s dance company Philadanco where she was able to perform ballets by Donald Byrd, Christopher Huggins, Milton Myers, Matthew Rushing and many more dance legends. Jennifer was able to travel to Chile, Bermuda, and many cities across the United States with Philadanco until she moved to Los Angeles in 2014.

Jennifer currently resides in Los Angeles, California and has been so thankful for the opportunities presented to her. She was able to film a commercial for XL Energy Drink on Time Warner Cable, a holiday commercial for PNC Bank, a feature for SnapChat, and workout videos for workout programs coming soon to NBC Sports, all in the her short time living in Los Angeles. Jennifer has been incredibly grateful for these opportunities and only hopes to accomplish more in the entertainment industry!
